Finding Work Online

Would you like to know what the job prospects are for a certain trade or occupation, or consult the job offers available in a specific region?

The Emploi-Québec website (emploiquebec.net) gives you access to two tools of choice:

These free online services are available around the clock and will increase your chances of finding employment quickly. Use them!

LMI online

LMI stands for "labour market information."

Consulting LMI Online enables you to make informed decisions based on reliable, up-to-date information on, among other things,

  • job descriptions, salaries and job prospects for over 500 trades and occupations;
  • the highest-in-demand trades and occupations in each of Québec's administrative regions;
  • employers' requirements.

LMI Online provides you with region-specific data as well as information on the training needed to perform a given trade or occupation and the educational institutions offering such training programs. You can also search information by sector of activity.

Online Placement

The Online Placement service of Emploi-Québec allows you to post job applications-i.e. a brief résumé-search the job bank and readily consult job offers that match your employment profile. In addition, by posting "Job Alert!" requests, you will be notified by e-mail, daily or weekly, of new job offers that match your skills. From the Online Placement site, you can access information on trades and occupations by clicking the link to LMI Online.

For help in submitting an application or searching for a job, call
1-866-640-3059 and a placement assistance agent will be pleased to help you.
